Conveniently located in Mission Valley just minutes away from downtown San Diego,
Riverwalk Golf Club offers a quiet oasis from the busy hustle of the city. Designed
by famed golf architect Ted Robinson, what once was flat and barren marshland has
been transformed into undulating fairways, water falls and well-protected bentgrass
greens. Water comes into play on 13 of the 27 holes with four new lakes and the San
Diego River. Home to a variety of wildlife and wetlands flora, Riverwalk is a
natural for tournaments and visiting golfers.

Riverwalk: A River
Runs Through It
The word "strategic" is widely used in golf architecture to indicate the smart
placement of bunkers, trees or hazards, which are a golf course defense against
the world of titanium and hi-tech golf equipment ... ah, yes, and the golfer.
But here I'll use this same word to describe the location of the Riverwalk Golf
Course: in the heart of Mission Valley and its hotel and restaurant "alley"
along Interstate-8, just a few yards away from Fashion Valley shopping mall,
and just a few minutes drive from downtown and many centrally located tourist
attractions like SeaWorld and Balboa Park. It's the nearest regulation length

Approximately 10 minutes from downtown, Riverwalk Golf Club is located in
the Mission Valley area. From the North, take I-805 south to SR-163 south
and exit Friars Road. Go west to Fashion Valley Road and south to the
entrance on the right. From other directions, use I-8 and take Hotel
Circle exit. Go north on Fashion Valley Road to the range and clubhouse
